NGOs are suing the European Court of Justice against the European Commission to fund initiatives that lead to the segregation of people with disabilities in Bulgaria

For the first time in history, three human rights organizations in the field of disability are launching legal proceedings against the European Commission for refusing to suspend EU infrastructure funding, which Bulgaria will use to build institutions for people with disabilities. Case No T-613/19, brought in the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, challenges the decision of the European Commission not to suspend EU funding for Bulgaria.
